Candle Care & Burning Tips
All of Siam Candles products are handmade and individually numbered. Each Candle is made from scratch, by hand, in Bangkok, Thailand. Soy wax is non-toxic and non-carcinogenic and is more Eco-friendly than Paraffin Wax.
Here are a few simple ways to get the most from your Siam Candles soy candle experience:
When lighting a soy candle for the first time, allow the wax to melt all the way to the sides of the container. Depending on the container size, this should take around 1-3 hours. Before the first light, make sure you have 3-4 hours available for the candle to burn while attended.
Trim your wick to about 1/4"/6-8mm before you re-light your candle. This will ensure a long lasting candle, minimize soot and remove any mushrooming of carbon on the end of the wick.
Extinguish your candle by dipping the wick into the melted wax and straighten. Using a candle snuffer is also optional.
After use, wipe the jar clean with a paper towel so that it is ready to glow for the next use.
Keep your candle protected from light. UV light or fluorescent lighting your candle may turn yellow.
Place your candle on a flat, flame retardant surface, away from drafts, children, pets, curtains, furniture, etc.
